Jennifer Paquette serves as an independent director for the Tortoise Capital Advisors' closed-end funds. Previously, she was the chief investment officer for Colorado Public Employees' Retirement Association (PERA). Colorado PERA is a public employee retirement plan with a $44 billion investment portfolio at the time of her retirement in 2017. Ms. Paquette joined the organization in 1995 and served as chief investment officer from 2003-2017. Prior to Colorado PERA, Ms. Paquette was vice president, institutional account executive for Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith where she sold high yield bonds to institutions. Ms. Paquette also worked for Alliance Capital Management, as vice president, portfolio manager where she managed high yield bond portfolios. She earned a  Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston College and a Master of Science degree from the London School of Economics. She is a CFA® charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Colorado. She is a former member of the PCAOB Standing Advisory Board. Ms. Paquette currently serves on a number of non-profit boards including the Samaritan Institute.
