Tortoise Energy Infrastructure Corp. Announces Intention to Redeem Series C Mandatory Redeemable Preferred Shares

LEAWOOD, Kan. -- December 22, 2015 -- (BUSINESS WIRE) --

Tortoise Energy Infrastructure Corp. (TYG) today announced that it has filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on December 9, 2015 a notice of its intention to redeem all 5,000,000 shares of its Series C Mandatory Redeemable Preferred (MRP) Shares (representing an aggregate liquidation preference amount of $50,000,000) with a redemption date of Jan. 8, 2016. The total redemption price is $50,202,990.00 and the per share redemption price is $10.040598. The redemption price per share is equal to the liquidation preference per share of $10.00, plus (i) accrued dividends of $0.040598, calculated using the current rate of 3.95% accrued to the redemption date. The company utilized its credit facilities to fund the total redemption price with the paying agent on December 8, 2015.
